Women Looting Store: Chicago Police Released Video Asking Public Identification.

Burglary/Looting | 835 N Michigan Ave
Burglary at Clothing Store

Violent looting happened at the Victoria’s Secret PINK clothing store at the Water Tower Place, 835 N. Michigan Ave on Thursday, 14.08.20 between 2 and 2:30 a.m.

Until the report publishes, police couldn’t identify and catch those miscreants but published a video of the mayhem in their official YouTube channel.

The officials are trying to identify them and urged public to contact immediately if any information is found about them. Citizens can contact the Area 3 Looting Task Force at 312-744-826 or email 630LootingTaskForce@chicagopolice.org for providing any type of information regarding this incident.

According to CCTV footage, it is seen that one woman busts through the door glass at the store, and another woman follows her. Then both of them start filling their bags with clothes.

Then the first woman unlocked the door and paved the way for others. A couple more women then entered the store.

Police hoping to bring them to justice based on the footage and welcoming public information too if someone recognizes them.

Police suspects previous looting on Monday in the Magnificent Mile, Streeterville, River North and the area around North and Sheffield avenues most probably by them in sequence.

Anyone with the information regarding this can also submit an anonymous tip at CPDtip.com if they get any clue.

Perhaps this incident shows the job loss effect of the present USA during this pandemic.

According to Bloomberg, “…major job losses are continuing two months after the coronavirus pandemic started shuttering businesses.”
