Grammar Techniques

When you are going to write a creative writing or free-hand writing in English Language, find out the following writing types based on time or tenses.

Write about your visit to a zoo. Past Time (Writing Type 1)

  • the above topic tells you about the Experience.
  • Experience = V2 = Past Indefinite
  • Use the words in past = went, visited, Last week or last month, Yesterday, I used to, he used to.

Write about your daily life. Present Time (Writing Type 2)

  • the above topic tells about our day to day life style / what we do regularly.
  • day to day life style / what we do regularly = V1 = Present Indefinite
  • Use the words in present = go, visit, daily, everyday, regularly, Generally, Sometimes.
  • If subject is I, we, They = go, visit. (use verb without s/es)
  • If subject He, She, Name = goes, visits ( use verb with s/es)

Write about your plan for the summer vacation. Future Time (Writing Type 3)

  • the above topic tells you about you future plan or aim.
  • plan or aim = Will + V1 = Future Indefinite
  • Use the words of the Future Tense = will go, will visit, tomorrow, next week, next day, next month, next year etc.

Describe the picture. (Writing Type 4)

  • You have to describe the picture in present tense using the following phrases.

I can see a picture of a ____.

It is a beautiful picture of ____.

There is ……

There are …..

The _____ is…..                                               

It has…..

They are…..

I think….

(You have sentences like the above examples)

  • At last, use a finishing or concluding sentence.
